The granny flat is nearing completion nearly a month ahead of schedule, with little to no problems, with all carpenters and trades being respectful and professional with their level of work being flawless.
Following a health scare, my wife and I were facing separation, she in a nursing home and me in a tiny retirement unit at an eye-watering cost. We chose Ian Cubitt’s to build a granny flat, with suitable modifications to meet the needs of our medical issues. Our granny flat has ramps, wide doorways, plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair, sliding doors and a specially adapted bathroom. We could not be more delighted with the finished home. From pre-planning to completion we have been kept informed of progress. The site was always tidy, the tradespeople professional and polite, as were the supervising staff. The neighbours were very impressed with the low noise levels and lack of disruption to them.
We chose Cubitt’s as they had 3 flats of different designs in their showroom, which we could inspect. They organised Council approval for us as our granny flat had to be built close to our neighbour’s fences. Work was performed very efficiently. We even had some work done on a few Saturdays. From the moment we first walked into the office at Emu Plains until our extension was complete, they have provided nothing but a first-rate customer service. Communication was excellent, with a weekly update provided as to the work to be carried out in the following week. The tradesmen showed up on time as scheduled, did high quality work, they were very professional, hardworking and friendly. Our Site Supervisor was brilliant, he had a great eye for detail, he promptly answered any questions that we had and provided an excellent service.
