Generally speaking, major renovations and home extensions take around 6 months to complete. At Cubitt’s, we have a 26-week contract based on our eight-step extension process which involves the following steps:

• Step 1 - Site Visit. One of our experienced home extension consultants will perform a free in-person inspection of your site to assess its potential for renovation.

• Step 2 - Feasibility. Prior to beginning your extension, we’ll conduct a free feasibility study to ascertain your project’s practicality and identify any Council requirements, costs and roadblocks which need to be addressed before we get started. 

• Step 3 - Tender. Once our feasibility study is complete our in-house quote team will provide a detailed, transparent tender for your consideration.

• Step 4 - Contract. We’ll present you with a contract and, if required, liaise with your bank to ensure your financing runs smoothly. Once you’ve signed your contract and made your deposit, we can get started!

• Step 5 - Selections and Settlement. Now the fun can begin! At this stage, you’ll get to sit down with our design team to select finishes, design elements and colour schemes for your extension project.

• Step 6 - Approval. Our dedicated in-house council planning team will arrange all certifications and approval on your behalf. From building certifiers to bushfire consultants to the Council, we’ll take care of everything and make sure your Newcastle home extension is fully certified and ready to build.

• Step 7 - Construction. Our hand-selected local builders will start work on your renovation project. Your assigned site supervisor will be on hand at all times to address any concerns or queries you may have, so you’ll always be kept in the loop.

• Step 8 - Handover. That’s it! Time to settle in and celebrate in your forever home.
